Overview

Description

The city known as Chaskalla Bay doesn’t welcome many. Cut from volcanic stone and reinforced with alloys not native to this world, it clings to the coast like a fortification turned inward. Its twin portals hang with a glowing red menace, each a passage to the Astral Sea; complete with all the riches and threats beyond. No civilians, no distractions, no markets or parades. Just orders, logistics, and the cold precision of survival. Every street is a straight line to a barracks, battery, or launch point. Every citizen is trained. Every silence means someone is listening. Chaskalla Bay isn’t alive in the way cities usually are; it’s functional. Sharp-edged. Purpose-built. If you’ve come here uninvited, you’ve either made a deal… or a mistake.

History

City itself seems to predate the arrival of the Gith themselves. The Gith have been arriving in numbers for at least the past century; a time rife with conflict with other settlements and cities in the area. The Gith and the city both became more approachable, by Gith standards, after the ascension of Torgo to the divine pantheon.

Geography and Layout

Sturdy coastal city built close to a old mountain range. City is dominated by its large harbor and overhead portals to the Astral Sea. Designed with a military mindset first and foremost. The Astral energies that bleed out from the nearby portals slow the passage or effects of time; slowing ageing and decay.
