Description

After the ascension of Torgo and the end of the costly conflict against the Chartist cities, many groups of Gith broke away from the traditional leadership of the Githyanki to form orders dedicated to serving Torgo. Generally, they saw themselves has his mortal instruments dedicated to taking on his burdens now that he himself was bound to the heavens. How this manifests can vary from group to group, but almost always consists of actively working against the agents of Vinnin and The Triad. It is taught that this pursuit of Vinnin's followers on the mortal realm mirrors Torgo's own chase of Vinnin in the heavens. Although not strictly forbidden or unknown for non-Gith to join these orders, it is rare, as it understood among the Githzerai broadly that “Only Torgo's chosen people, the Gith, have the discipline and strength as group to bear these burdens”.
