Description
Corsair’s Landing sprawls across the islands like spilled gold—chaotic, glittering, and dangerous to hold. From the moment you dock, the salt air is thick with tar, sweat, and rum. Ships from every corner of the seas lie anchored in its crescent harbors, their flags promising trade or blood. The streets are narrow and loud, crowded with sailors, traders, and thieves with knives tucked where smiles should be. Forts bristle on the outer isles, their guns trained both outward and inward. There's law here, but it answers to coin. In the smoky taprooms and shadowed coves, plots are made, debts are paid, and reputations are drowned. It is a place for bold men, doomed men, and those who don’t care to know the difference.
History
Corsair's Landing has existed as a minor settlement for a long as anyone or any record can note, but exploded in size and influence after the ascension of Feng in the 4th age. Many fleeing The Free Lands by ship ended up here, where the collective strength at sea was one of the few places where Feng could be challenges; his mostly humanoid supporters lacking a strong history of nautical warfare experience. During this era, Corsair's Landing, ruled by the newly minted Coin Lords, formed a formal alliance with the nearby cities of Moonshadow, Taru, and Rockspire Landing; with Corsair's Landing being named the capital. A blend of /Laissez Faire/ and straight up piracy, the city has existing in this state of controlled chaos for centuries.
