Garrin Barlow is the owner of Sunlit Stables, Middleton’s trusted stablemaster and animal handler. He sells and boards riding horses, draft horses, and occasional exotic mounts. Locals say Garrin can calm almost any beast, though he credits most of his success to patience, feed, and listening.

His dog Sparky is nearly as famous as he is and is widely considered the unofficial assistant manager of the stables.

Garrin is patient, plainspoken, and quietly brave. He prefers animals to politics and can tell much about a traveler by the state of their horse.
